Animated Mummy Sack Tutorial

I found an awesome tutorial about making a life-size animated, struggling bodybagged victim for your front yard Halloween display. It just looked like a lot of fun, and the tape strapping and trash bag look could definitely add atmosphere to your next fetish party. It's not too hard to make, either. I could just see a whole front yard filled with these guys... C'mon, the neighbors already know you're a little weird.

Of course, it's not a sexy as the real struggling Mina over at Restricted Senses.
But we all don't have a Mina, do we? (Also, would you really our beautiful leather sleepsack used on the front lawn? I think not...)

Sleepsack Bondage: Material Types and Trade-Offs

Duct-tape wraps: Inexpensive, extreme, and custom-fitted.
Duct Tape Mummification
This highly effective bondage technique can create the total body bondage, free-floating total enclosure sensation with a modest outlay of cash. You really only need plastic wrap and duct tape, a pair of scissors, a towel for between the knees, (optional earplugs), and you are ready to go.

The major trade-off with this technique compared to others is the time and effort involved. It can take an hour or more to do a complete body wrap with two layers of tape. It is a lot of physical work to peel all that tape off of the duct-tape roll, and carefully apply it to your wrapee.

The sensation of tightness can be quite extreme as layer after layer of tape can be built up until movement is nearly impossible. Two layers are great, but three or more starts to get really restrictive. Laying tape strips parallel to the body across the primary wrap can increase the stiffness and prevent bending.

One of the best features of duct-tape wraps is that you can cut access holes whenever and wherever you like. Vibrators can be inserted or taped into place. Penis or boobs can be pulled through openings, toyed with and then stuffed back in and taped up. It’s flexible in a way that the other methods aren’t, due to its make-it-yourself nature.

Downside: It can be hot and sweaty to have the plastic wrap next to the skin, and the temperature of the room should be a little on the cool side to prevent overheating. Dehydration over a long session can become a concern. Scissors should always be on hand in order to cut the wrapee loose in the event of sudden panic or other emergency.

The ultimate trip for the latex enclosure fetishist.

Latex Sleepsack
Latex sleepsacks can be picked up in standard sizes for around $500 (here at Mr. S), and can offer a moderately restrictive bondage experience. Visually these sacks look great, and for the latex fetishist there is nothing better than the idea of being fully enclosed in multiple layers of your favorite material. All of the sensory benefits of latex fetishism are here: the shiny wet-look, the cool tactile sensation, the smell and sound of squeaky rubber. Paired with a hood, you can get the complete enclosure experience, and it’s fun to wear sheath-pants underneath so even if your cock is “exposed” through the front access zipper, you’re really still completley enclosed in latex.

Some people like to use lube between the layers to create a squishy latex wonderland. I found the latex sleepsack (although nice in its own way) wasn’t restrictive enough for my taste, which led me to explore leather alternatives. But the ability to play with lube without worry, and for those who enjoy sweating it out, lube or total latex enclosure, it’s a pretty awesome experience.

Inflatable latex provides a truly unique sensation - at a price.

Latex Inflatable Sleepsack
Years ago my first big (really big) fetish purchase was an inflatable Ultima sack from DeMask. It had integrated straps on the side that allowed suspension (either head-up or head-down), and cross-body straps in contrasting red latex. This thing was an amazing piece of work, with a thick latex outer layer, and a thinner inner sack. Once inflated, the inner sack pressed against you from all sides. Paired with an inflatable hood, the sensation was almost like being underwater. Gentle restraint pushed back if you tried to struggle, although movement was possible. Being suspended was my favorite, because the overall pressure on your body gave a sensation of weightlessness. But as with the latex sack, I wanted more restriction than the inflatable could offer. Also, sadly the inner latex sack dis-integrated in storage after a couple of years. It was a heartbraking lesson in latex perishability to say the least.

Neoprene sleepsacks can provide a great experience at a lower cost than leather.

Neoprene Sleepsack
Neoprene is a relatively new arrival on the scene, and I still remember well the first time I saw a total-enclosure neoprene sack at 665 Leather in LA ($485 for a sack with hood and front access zip here). I was drooling right away, and couldn’t wait to get zipped into one. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t more restrictive, although, as with the latex, it’s a pretty cool and different bondage sensation in and of itself. Like the latex, you don’t have to worry about getting the sack wet, and adding a few belts can increase the feeling of restriction. The neoprene has its own kind of padding built-in, so the straps don’t bite as much into the skin. I do want to get another one someday, but more undersized next time so it has to stretch when I get into it. (Can you tell I like it tight?)

It can be quite cosy and comfortable inside, although just like the duct-tape wrap, it helps to have the room temperature a little on the cool side so you don’t overheat.

The ultimate restraint experience IMHO: a custom sleepsack in leather.

Leather Sleepsacks
A leather sleepsack is a wonderful thing: it’s easy and quick to get in and out of. One pull of a zipper, and you’re totally enclosed. Not surprising, it's my favorite material for sleepsack bondage.

Because the leather breathes, it doesn’t get all sweaty and clammy inside, as can sometimes happen with a plastic-wrap and duct-tape mummification.

When a sleepsack is custom-made to fit there are no pressure points and you get a great overall sensation of restraint from head to toe. It makes it easy to float off into sub-space.

The lacing can be adjusted for tightness, so you can vary the intensity of the restraint. It can feel like a comforting hug or a strict leather prison depending on how much the laces are pulled.

The lacing adjustment can also come in handy when you want to layer, maybe with a rubber catsuit underneath, or tighten things up over the course of a session.

The feeling and psychological impact of the sack itself is quite powerful.

All these are legitimate techniques for playing with the mind-body space, and each can provide a doorway into another world. Sensory deprivation can unhook your mind from the everyday experience, and take you places erotically you never knew existed before. Hopefully my personal experience can help some of you who may be curious about this type of restraint. Have fun and play safe!

Mummification of Nanako Aida

Another great movie now available from Reijoh-Shashinkan: "Mummification of Nanako Aida with Brown Tapes." I had been wanting to get this movie for a while, but only recently has it been made available as a download on Clips4Sale. For someone (like me) into total mummification, Asian girls in bondage, complete and total wraps (including the head!), and lots of wiggling around and rolling over by the girl slave once wrapped, it's right up my alley.

Add in the ridiculous amount of tape over the mouth-filling gag (I think I counted 7 wraps *whew*), and you have a winner!

The close-up feet wrapping doesn't hurt, either!
Feet getting wrapped... thoroughly!
Thank you, Nanako for suffering so beautifully for us...
Lots of wiggling and rolling over. Very hot.

The link to the Clips4Sale store HERE (you may have to search for "Nanako").

Mumman on Discovery Channel!

Mark from Serious Bondage just shared a link to a YouTube teaser for an upcoming show on Discovery Channel called Forbidden featuring an interview with our friend Mumman! It should air sometime early in 2014. How cool is that?

Mumman sharing his story...

...and a beautiful wrap job!

Mummification video by Reijoh-Shashinkan

I'm so happy to see Reijoh-Shashinkan now has some of their mummification videos on clips4sale! This hogtie wrap is just so intense:

The Mummification of Nanako - Bound alike a Chrysalis with Nanako Aida.

If you are a fan of hot Japanese girls in extreme bondage, rolling and wiggling around and "mmmfffh -ing" the whole time, I'd recommend the 15-minute video. Nanako even manages to roll herself onto her side and back a few times, creating a beautiful vision in shiny white tape.

Jade Burial Suit circa 113 B.C.

One of the earliest experiences I had that let me know I might be a pervert was seeing a jade burial suit at a local museum when I was about 6 or seven years old. I remember being completely fascinated by this object. I had never seen anything like it before, and was amazed at the idea that it was made to fit someone perfectly, and that there was someone inside of it. (Or, at least there was at one time, hundreds of years ago...)

Here's an excerpt from the book containing the image above (The Arts of China by Michael Sullivan, 1973):

"An extreme instance of the belief in the preserving power of jade was the jade burial-suit, long known from references in early literature, but never seen (except in fragments) until the accidental discovery of the tombs of a Han prince and princess at Man-ch'eng in Hopei in 1968. The corpses of Liu Sheng (died 113 B.C.) and of his wife Tou Wan were completely encased in head-mask, jacket and trousers, each made of over 2,000 thin jade plaques sewn together with gold thread. Each suit, it has been calculated, would have taken an expert jade-smith ten years to make."

Another jade suit helmet with what looks like a removable face-covering is shown below. For a king named Liu Yen buried in A.D. 90...

Serious Dinner Plans?

I just confirmed plans to have Mark from Serious Bondage come over for the evening. He's bringing along Dalton Ott, Ashley Renee and "Mumman"!

The plan is to take some measurements for a future custom Ashley Renee project, and to wrap Dalton for his made-to-measure sleepsack project. And just meeting Mumman in person - I'm just in awe of everything he does.

Well, this should certainly be an evening to remember!

Something tells me I need to go buy some more duct-tape...

Pleasure Bound by Eric Stanton

I recently received some images from PJW who recognized some similarities between the image I posted of a girl in an armbinder and a sleepsack a few weeks ago, and some vintage artwork by fetish master Eric Stanton. I love the illustration showing a fitted body sheath with a special shaped space for the armbinder and a fitted pocket for the high heels. I am going to have to try making one of those...

I remember seeing these for the first time in the big hardcover book on Stanton published by Taschen in 1997. The original "Pleasure Bound" series was first published sometime in the mid 50s.

Eric Stanton got his start after writing to Irving Klaw, saying he could do better than the fetish fantasy drawings he was currently selling. Klaw took him up on his offer, and paid Stanton $8 for the first story he created: "Battling Women".

Stanton later met and worked alongside Steve Ditko (who would go on to co-create spider man with Stan Lee at Marvel Comics), and Gene Bilbrew, another famous fetish artist who worked under the pseudonym Eneg.

Stanton even got to work with Bettie Page, helping out with photo shoots, although Irving Klaw didn't want his models fraternizing with his artists. In the end it was a difficult way to make a living. There just wasn't much money to be made creating fetish artwork, and divorce, and a day-job injury made matters worse.

More scans of Eric Stanton's work can be found here, and a fascinating bio can be found here. Thanks PJW!

Kneeling Restraint for Vanilla Gallery

I had 3 ideas for designs I wanted to create when the opportunity for the Vanilla Gallery show came about. One was the red suspended f-suit, as shown in my recent posts. My second concept was a puffy 2-layer sleepsack, similar to the puffy hood I made that Karen Hsiao had already shot. (Unfortunately the sleepsack got nixed due to space limitations at the gallery.) And the third idea was for a "kneeling-position" full body restraint - something I hadn't seen actually made anywhere else before.

It's part of a set of ideas I have for what I call posture-suits: restraints that put the wearer in a certain position, usually limit or restrict movement to varying degrees, and have for the most part the quality of total enclosure.

This isn't just a sleepsack bent at the knees, but more a combination of hood, square armbinder, and a leg pocket that holds both legs together in the same space. I wanted the zipper to run from the toes in the back to the top of the hood. Based on the wrap, and because the arms were to be held behind the back, it became clear that the breasts should have shaped contours to emphasize their form.

I liked the fact that there could be a single zipper, and that it would allow the hair to be pulled out at the top for a ponytail. I did add 2 additional pulls so there can be access anywhere along the zipper path in case you want to.

This leather is so soft and smooth, with a tight grain and a buttery, silky feel.

One of the inspirations for this restraint is the classic Japanese style of sitting, with the thighs on the calves, and often the feet crossed. There is also a standard shibari-bondage harness tie, with the arms folded across the back. It's just such a naturally submissive pose.

Another thing I thought would be beautiful is the model on her side, emphasizing the contrast between the hips and the waist. I wasn't disappointed. It looks really lovely.

In the image below, you can see the side of the leg pocket more clearly. There is a little room between the lower leg and the thigh, but no where near enough to straighten out. I could see making a shaped pillow to insert between the calf and thigh to make it even more restrictive. This point of view also nicely shows the close fit along the waist and arm pocket.

Here she is, a little more balled-up...

...and slightly twisting... That mat I shoot on isn't as soft as the bed, unfortunately for her.

Sometimes, I don't believe the things I make are real. They are so outside of my everyday experience, that even when they're done and photographed they still seem like dream images. This whole set is like that to me.

Just my lovely fetish dream-girl...

I guess the one good thing for her is this suit isn't nearly as tight, heavy or torturous as the f-suit...

...but of course, that just means I'm already planning on making another, "just slightly" more severe version for us to keep. I always have to keep pushing the envelope.

Thanks again to my model for putting up with the wraps and posing so beautifully. Thanks to Karen Hsiao for working with me to make these projects real. And thanks to you all for visiting my blog and your continued encouragement and support...

P.S. - to Meguca Meduka let me know when you want to start working on yours!

Poster Number Two for Vanilla Gallery show

Well, I finished up the second piece I'm sending to Japan for the upcoming show at Vanilla Gallery. I managed to take some pictures as well, and put together the little poster shown below. The kneeling restraint is another one of those "I've always wanted to try that" projects, that have been lurking in my mind and sketchbooks for years. I'm so happy to finally have the opportunity to make it happen for real through my collaboration with Karen Hsiao and her Black Cherries series. It's been a great chance to just let my imagination run wild, and follow wherever it goes. No limits. The best kind of project. The show is coming up so soon: February 4th. I have to get this stuff in the mail!

More images and some of the process to come shortly... I'm off to bed.

Fetish Inspiration - Centurians Whole Catalog of the Exotic and Bizarre

Once upon a time there was a young little pervert living in New Orleans who had an intense curiosity about anything kinky, but not much information (yes, I'm talking about myself). I didn't know anything at the time about bondage, domination or the world of S&M, but I knew there were certain things that were dark and perverted that people didn't discuss in public, and I was intensely interested in the subject. I would see something on TV, like Batman getting tied up and it would give me a funny feeling inside. Before long I figured out I wasn't like other people I knew, and I thought maybe something was wrong with me.

Just a side note for all you young ones out there: this was long, long time ago, before the age of the ubiquitous internet, when any deviation you can think of (and a few more you can't) is just a Google search away. It was actually difficult to find out information about certain subjects back in those days... The pre-internet dark ages.

When I did come across a depiction of a kinky person in a movie or on TV, it was usually a bad thing: someone was getting tied up just before being killed or kidnapped - pretty negative stuff. I started doing research and trying to find out more. I tried to get my hands on anything that I could. In some movie special-effects magazine I came across an advertisement for a catalog for Centurians. I sent off my $20 and waited a few weeks. When the catalog arrived in the mail, I could hardly believe my eyes. It was like a candy store for me, just filled with hundreds of kinky items - many of which I'd never seen before. It was so eye opening to see that there were other people out there who liked the things I did, and enough of them that there was a business and a catalog full of stuff made for them. I can't describe the world of wonder and how it felt to see these creations for the first time: the bondage hood, with open mouth. The armbinder, the sleepsack, harnesses, gags, cuffs. I had found my people.

The catalog cover had this long list of contents, which I pored over time and again. I didn't know what any of that stuff was at first, but it seemed to suggest endless possibilities.

This bondage hood shot, with the mouth only opening and collar with the chain coming off the top of the hood - it's still has such power for me all these years later. Plus, you can see the straps on her shoulders which most likely connect to a tight armbinder.

Speaking of which, another all-time favorite image for me is this zipped armbinder with 3 straps. Another picture I must have stared at for hours.

There were so many incredible devices, and the illustrations were beautiful.

Next I bought a copy of the Latex Annual catalog, which followed that same "shopping list of your dreams" content on the front cover.

The models seemed to inhabit some fantasy world of perversion made real: flesh and blood plus rubber and fur. I totally understood why Sorayama would take inspiration from this model and pose years later.

This was my first encounter with the idea of a sleepsack - a life-changing experience for me. I loved everything about it, and could only imagine what it might feel like to be inside. It was so sexy to me. I couldn't believe other people had actually made these things. This is still such a hot picture!

As if the idea of a latex full-coverage suit wasn't enough, how about one that inflates? It was a whole new world.

I couldn't really afford many of the things in the catalog, but it set my mind free in a way to enjoy the fantasies that I had always had. It was knowing that I wasn't alone that was the most valuable things I got from the catalogs.

A few years later I managed to get some back issues that I hadn't the chance to get previously, including one catalog focused just on black patent leather. The sack pictured on the front cover was another one of those "I can't believe that is real" kind of images.

The cover image is so inspiring to me, I hope to make some things for this show in Japan that embody that mixture of creativity, kink and mysterious eroticism that the Centurians catalog held for me. Somewhere out there is a young pervert that I hope will say to himself: "I see something familiar in that piece. That means something to me. It's strange, dark, mysterious and beautiful, and I want one."

Design Sketchbook

There are some exciting things coming together in the next couple of months, unfortunately not all of which I can share with you at the moment. I'm actually working like a madman on a bunch of things I can't show yet - top secret. Let's just say I may have the opportunity to make some things that have previously only existed in the pages of my sketchbooks. I am hoping to complete at least 2 to 3 designs in the next few months I have never produced before and never seen anywhere else.

The vision for these suits entails a total-enclosure in leather with internal foam inserts, some padded 2-layered designs and at least one full-suspension concept.
These "posture" suits will ideally each be tailored to fit a specific model, so the fit will be perfect.
There are suits in classic bondage positions I have come back to time and again, and the idea is to make position-specific restraints that both conceal and reveal. These are purpose-built, not flexible designs. Made to do one thing and one thing only. In the same vein as the f-suit, but in some cases more extreme, in some ways less flexible.

I'm truly excited to tackle one of the most challenging: a full-suspension design, for a flying, armbound hogtie.

One potential design features a front-pocket f-suit instead of the separate arm sleeves.
It may be time to finally realize the sack/straitjacket combo in real life.
A hooded front-pocket stratijacket is also (possibly) in the works...
 A rear-pocket sleepsack?
Another possibility: a front-pocket straitjacket sleepsack with separate-able zippered leg pocket? So her legs can be spread without letting her out of the sack? Oh, this is going to be fun...
More details to come...
