I'm going to take you through the steps for making your own pair of bondage booties. We start off with our 3 pattern pieces: upper, tongue and sole:

I topstitch the tongue in place, using the same wire spacing guide as before.

At this stage I want to put together the D-ring which will be sewn into the toe. I cut strips from the stiffest part of the hide, and lately have been using twill tape as an additional reinforcement. It adds a lot of strength compared to the leather on it's own.

simply fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThese look incredible! I now have a weekend project. I'm hoping you eventually plan to post the patterns. For the time-being I'll do the duct-tape thing, it always makes for an interesting evening anyway !!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Christopher
Thanks, BindHer! I do plan on posting the pattern, as I had to digitize it to scale it up for the straitjacketed.com pattern... In the next few days I hope to have it up.
DeleteBut please don't let me stop you from a fun evening with duct-tape! =0)
Wow these are really great looking and would be a proud item in any bondage collection I would love to buy or get my hands on a pair. So you have any plans of producing them in the future?
ReplyDeleteI used to have something similar back in the early 90's but they were made from heavy rubber. I had a friend who was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and she had a love for the latex and leather craft. She came up with an idea after she saw me in a pair of boxing boots in a gym. She took them and experimented and came up with a ballet boot-boxer boot hybrid with a d-ring on the toes and a steel locking ankle strap. Unfortunately after I had them for a couple of years she asked to borrow them for an exhibition and wound up lost with a few of her pieces. I lost contact with her and never had her make me another pair. I would love to have another pair for my collection but I am not as handy with leather and latex.
well done congratulation, love your work
