Balled-up Restraint Design Sketches

I've started working in earnest on the balled-up restraint, project number 3 from my "Top 10" list of last year.  This promises to be a good challenge, getting the fit just right for what is a pretty complex shape, in a crouched, balled-up position. I've already created a wrap from my model, and am figuring out exactly how this restraint is going to work. 

 I keep debating how I want to tackle the arms. Initially, I was going to go with long strait-jacket-style sleeves which would buckle behind her back. But the idea of laying on top of the buckle if my model was lying on her back didn't seem like a good solution. I definitely want to use this sack in that position, with her toe D-ring chained to the ceiling. 

I was toying with the idea of having the sleeve be continuous, with a zipper to lock the arms in position. They would form a permanent loop. I'm just not sure if that's going to give my model enough room to get in and out. But, it would be very clean looking. 

As it is now, this is going to take 2 zippers for entry. One in the rear from the top of the hood, down the back and through the crotch to the rear of the knees. The second zipper would be in the front, from the knees to the toes, securing the lower legs and feet tightly in the foot pocket. 

I'm posting an old drawing from 1998, just to show how long this idea has been kicking around in my head. Obviously there are many differences in the details and specifics, but the general idea is the same: a balled-up straitjacket/sleepsack type of design. 

By the way, I wanted to send thanks to everyone who has contacted me with support and encouragement for the ongoing "Top 10" projects. It's great to know there are people out there who actually enjoy following along and seeing the ideas brought to life. It does make a difference, and means a lot to me.

The amazing cat at her master's (-EM-'s) feet in one of my kneeling restraints. This was just a quick cellphone pic, shared by cat on her fetlife gallery.  I love these two... what a couple! 

Apparently she was kept in there for about an hour. Even managed to fall asleep. It always makes me happy to know the gear I make is being put to good use. 

Red Boot Binder Sleepsack: The Final Cut

This is the final boot-binder sleepsack, made in the same leather as the first (a stunning, red, lamb-tan cowhide), but with some minor differences and refinements.

This sack features an open mouth and nipple access, with the neck pattern slightly shortened in front. 

I went with red thread topstitching throughout (instead of black) for a cleaner look.

The 3 sliders on the rear zipper make it possible to open the zipper anywhere along its length.

And a few other tweaks to the pattern for the ultimate tight fit...

Overall I'm pretty happy with how this project turned out. It's been a long journey from initial sketch to the final product, but I'm glad to have this restraint brought from the realm of fantasy into reality. Thanks to everyone who has sent messages of encouragement and support along the way, both here and on fetlife. I do appreciate it!

Permaid arrives in LA!

For all you total-enclosure fans: Great news! A gorgeous creature by the name of Permaid has washed up on the beaches of LA. 

She has quickly adapted to life on the dry side of the ocean, securing proper summer reading material and a colorful beach towel. Even goggles: perhaps to keep in the moisture?  

Of course, being a citizen of dry land, she needs to do her time filling out forms at the DMV like the rest of us. I wonder if she can manage a stick shift?

All this flopping around must be tiring. Fortunately, she found a scenic place to rest...

I think I saw this in a comic book by LEE (The Bonders?) a while ago...

Permaid makes new friends while checking out the patio furniture at CVS.

Asian beauty locked in Total-Enclosure Sleepsack

A total-enclosure fetishist dream come true...

These amazing photos come courtesy of my friend “Mr. X” over at Restricted Senses tumblr. I spoke with him a couple of weeks ago about a heavy leather sleepsack prototype I had that might possibly fit his lovely Asian slave girl. Turns out it was just the right size to fit her, so I sent the diabolical device over for them to put to the test. More specifically I should say: to put her to the test. 

This side view shows the seamless tight fit from head to toe. Love the way you can see her hand at the end of the inner sleeve-pocket. 

Just 2 tiny nose holes: her only connection to the outside world. 

As if the sack were't intense enough, some added straps and a locking collar were added as well. Bravo, Mr. X! 

You see, this is no normal sack. It’s extremely intense. It’s made with an attached nose-only hood, and rear full-length zipper and lacing panel. It’s made of a very heavy weight waxy, deep black buffalo leather - selected to make the most restrictive possible experience for the slave (un)lucky enough to be zipped, laced and locked inside it. This sack was designed from the start to push the limits of restriction, of what a sleepsack could be in terms of severity and level of enclosure. On a scale of one to ten, this is a ten. It’s made to be laced extremely tight, and to completely remove the slave’s ability to move or wiggle in even the smallest way. You can ask him or her if it works as designed...

These shots aren't easy to take, as her face is in the bed, which could make it difficult to breathe. I am just blown away by the whole set of images! 

As you can see from the photos he sent over, it is close to perfect fit-wise. For a fit-fetishist such as myself, this is about the pinnacle for this type of restraint. The hood is seamless and smooth. Her shoulders, waist, hips and legs, all fit without a single wrinkle. The lacing panel, even though very tight, actually has room to go further...

The way that collar pulls the hood even tighter to her face, accentuating her jawline... Can it get any better? I don't think so. 

For those who don’t know: This is not an easy sack to get into, or to be kept in. First off, there are only 2 small nose holes to connect you with the outside world. This is a dark, extreme and intense voyage for those who dare. Not for those prone to panic. For advanced players and hood-lovers only! 

Total leather enclosure.

Mr. X promises to keep me posted on his upcoming experiments that he has planned for the sack and his slave. It lends itself to endurance training and punishment sessions. I could see some tease-and-denial or forced orgasm experiments that could be very interesting... 

Heavyweight leather nirvana. 

He’s getting ready to launch a pay-site and offer individual videos of sessions as well. I am really looking forward to him realizing the scenarios he has in mind, and can only hope the poor girl can handle it! 

The question I had: "So, how long did you keep her locked in?"
"Almost four hours" was the reply! It was only her first time!!

Mummification of Nanako Aida

Another great movie now available from Reijoh-Shashinkan: "Mummification of Nanako Aida with Brown Tapes." I had been wanting to get this movie for a while, but only recently has it been made available as a download on Clips4Sale. For someone (like me) into total mummification, Asian girls in bondage, complete and total wraps (including the head!), and lots of wiggling around and rolling over by the girl slave once wrapped, it's right up my alley. 

Add in the ridiculous amount of tape over the mouth-filling gag (I think I counted 7 wraps *whew*), and you have a winner!  

The close-up feet wrapping doesn't hurt, either!

Leather Punishment Sack

My drawing of a leather punishment sack, as described by William Seabrook.

I have been reading everything I can get my hands on by William Seabrook, in search of any references to bondage devices or techniques, and his relation to them. He's an American adventurer and author who traveled to exotic locations and wrote about his experiences in the 1930s and 40s - a time when such exploits were relatively rare. He also (later in life) explored bondage as a pathway to altered states of consciousness or perception. (I keep wanting to do a series of posts about him, but there is so much to tell, it's hard to get it all boiled down into small parts...) 

For now I want to share a passage from Seabrook's 1934 book The White Monk of Timbuctoo. The book is a biography of a white French missionary named Yakouba who eventually "goes native" after being assigned by the church to bring religion to the natives of (what's now) Timbuktu, in the west African nation of Mali. Seabrook writes about a large leather bag found at an abandoned Tuareg campsite:

"They found also a large empty cowhide bag, tanned soft and pliable but strong, with a heavy silver lock attached to the thongs which drew the neck shut. Nobody was able to guess its use, so when they returned they gave it to the mission as a curiosity. 
When the little baptized Tuareg cubs–the mission now had three–saw it brought in, they all began howling bloody murder and tried to run away. They were too scared at first to explain intelligibly, but one of them kept yowling, "Don't put me in it! Don't put me in it!" so the solution was easy to guess. Grown calmer, they told that they were put in such sacks for punishment–as white mothers will sometimes shut up a child in the closet. But as even this seemed insufficient to explain their terror at the mere sight of the sack, Yakouba kept questioning them further, until one of them said, "Big people sometimes scream and die in it." 

They got the full explanation later from a Bellah. It is rather ingenious. Putting bad children in such sacks for an hour or so is not their principal use. They are used to punish or torture grown-ups whom the Tuaregs do not wish to mutilate, particularly recalcitrant girls and women. They are stuffed in the sack with their knees doubled under their chin, their heads bent, their bodies drawn tight in a ball, and with a small hole left somewhere for the air to come in so they can't stifle. "Three or four days and nights of it," the Bellah said, would "completely tame the most rebellious." In the daytime the sack was left in the sun, at night it was rolled and left on a pile of sharp stones or camp gear such as tent-pegs, mallets, tools; if they moved from one camp to another, it was simply put on a camel with other baggage. 

Sometimes, he explained, the sack was first soaked with water so that after the supple leather "had been drawn as tight as possible, it would shrink in drying and become still tighter." Weak ones sometimes died, he said, but not often. Usually they "were not spoiled." It was amusing, though, he said, to hear them, after the first day, begging and pleading to have a spear stuck through them. Another amusing thing, he said, was that if they wanted to keep a girl that way a long time, they would fasten her in a tight ball with her head outside the sack so they could give her food and water."

There is no other mention of the sack (or any other type of bondage) in this book, but you can definitely get a sense of Seabrook's fascination with the object in question. As horrific as the experience sounds, I must also admit a part of me wants to try making such a device to see what may come of it (and to find out just how unbearable it might be).

If you are a fan of hot Japanese girls in extreme bondage, rolling and wiggling around and "mmmfffh -ing" the whole time, I'd recommend the 15-minute video. Nanako even manages to roll herself onto her side and back a few times, creating a beautiful vision in shiny white tape.

Jade Burial Suit circa 113 B.C.

One of the earliest experiences I had that let me know I might be a pervert was seeing a jade burial suit at a local museum when I was about 6 or seven years old. I remember being completely fascinated by this object. I had never seen anything like it before, and was amazed at the idea that it was made to fit someone perfectly, and that there was someone inside of it. (Or, at least there was at one time, hundreds of years ago...) 

Here's an excerpt from the book containing the image above (The Arts of China by Michael Sullivan, 1973):

"An extreme instance of the belief in the preserving power of jade was the jade burial-suit, long known from references in early literature, but never seen (except in fragments) until the accidental discovery of the tombs of a Han prince and princess at Man-ch'eng in Hopei in 1968. The corpses of Liu Sheng (died 113 B.C.) and of his wife Tou Wan were completely encased in head-mask, jacket and trousers, each made of over 2,000 thin jade plaques sewn together with gold thread. Each suit, it has been calculated, would have taken an expert jade-smith ten years to make."

Kneeling Restraint Pose in Japanese Shibari Rope Bondage

I came across this image (on the left) the other day - a pretty close match for the kneeling posture-suit restraint, don't you think? I see so many Japanese rope ties I'd love to turn into total-enclosure bondage suits... 

Black Cherries limited-edition Art Prints Now Available!

I'm happy to announce that fine-art prints of Karen Hsiao's Black Cherries series are now available on her website. We've been working together on creating these images over the past year or so, and it's really exciting to see them complete and beautifully printed. Pleasure Bound by Eric Stanton

I recently received some images from PJW who recognized some similarities between the image I posted of a girl in an armbinder and a sleepsack a few weeks ago, and some vintage artwork by fetish master Eric Stanton. I love the illustration showing a fitted body sheath with a special shaped space for the armbinder and a fitted pocket for the high heels. I am going to have to try making one of those...

I remember seeing these for the first time in the big hardcover book on Stanton published by Taschen in 1997. The original "Pleasure Bound" series was first published sometime in the mid 50s. 

Eric Stanton got his start after writing to Irving Klaw, saying he could do better than the fetish fantasy drawings he was currently selling. Klaw took him up on his offer, and paid Stanton $8 for the first story he created: "Battling Women". 

Stanton later met and worked alongside Steve Ditko (who would go on to co-create spider man with Stan Lee at Marvel Comics), and Gene Bilbrew, another famous fetish artist who worked under the pseudonym Eneg.  

Stanton even got to work with Bettie Page, helping out with photo shoots, although Irving Klaw didn't want his models fraternizing with his artists. In the end it was a difficult way to make a living. There just wasn't much money to be made creating fetish artwork, and divorce, and a day-job injury made matters worse.
