A couple more...

Because you can never have too much awesome... here are two more images from Karen Hsiao featuring the square armbinder and open-face hood. Pony tail, double exposure, complete ecstasy. It's a challenge to portray the emotion, the feeling of bondage surrender and play, but to me these images get across something of the altered state mindset BDSM can put you in. Kind of dream-like. Just stunning.

That's it for me today, folks. I'm going to have to go now, and find something to wipe the drool off my keyboard.

Check Karen's Blog for the full set. There are actually a few more from this series.

Karen Hsiao - Stunning Harness Top Pix

One great thing about working with Karen Hsiao is that she'll send me emails sharing the things she's working on currently, the stuff she's shooting. Just quick iPhone shots. Like the images below. Beautiful model. Hooded, harnessed and dripping with fetishism. Gorgeous lighting and artsy composition. And I think to myself: "Damn, I'm a lucky bastard". And now you are too, because I get to share these pictures with you. Please enjoy...

And thanks, Karen and Mika, for sharing the photos with us!

Leg Pocket Prototypes

Another project I managed to take from the sketch book to prototype in the past couple of weeks are the leg pockets. These are designed to hold the leg in a bent position, but allow mobility (for leg spreading), and an attachment point (D-ring) at the knee.

I started off with the non-lace version just to prove the concept, and they've succeeded with flying colors. It does take some flexibility to wear these, especially if you want to hold the knees down past a certain point.

These can work without a shoe being worn at all, but I think they look best with the strap held in place by a high heel. I'm hoping to try with a ballet-boot, which I suspect will be sexy as hell!

I just need to make some minor modifications to the design, and these will be ready to go. Hope to have some "in-use" photos to share soon, along with a laced-pair to go to Kevin at Straitjacketed.com for real world testing.

Current projects for Elizabeth Andrews and Serene Iseley

It's been pretty busy around the workshop lately, but fortunately I'm getting things done. I just wrapped up some projects for Elizabeth Andrews and Serene Iseley

For Elizabeth, I made a pair of custom-fit long bondage mittens in beautiful soft black lamb.

They should complement the hood I made for her nicely.

Also for Elizabeth, a zip-closure armbinder in shiny black patent leather.

For Serene Iseley (who sent along this fetching image of herself in one of my straitjackets taken by Kevin at Straitjacketed.com), I made a classic custom-fit laced armbinder in a soft black leather.

I'm really looking forward to seeing these new items put through their paces. And please ladies, any feedback you have for me would be greatly appreciated...

Black Cherries book - proof preview

Karen Hsiao came over last week to show me the printer's proof of the Black Cherries book. For those of you who don't know, I've been working with her for over a year on this project (you can check out past posts by clicking on the "Black Cherries" label). The proof looks completely amazing, about 8 inches square, perfect bound, and around 100 pages, full of images I hadn't yet seen. (Karen has been sending some things my way via email, but with so many photos, it's been hard to keep track of everything.)

The proof looks really sharp compared to the smaller screen-res images I'm used to seeing, and having the images paired in spreads makes some interesting juxtapositions. The saturated colors and subtlety of tone - I'm so looking forward to seeing the final finished book in print. It's a completely different animal than seeing things onscreen. The effect of seeing all the pictures together (filled with so many restraints and hoods straight from my fetish-addled imagination) was pretty overwhelming. I actually got a bit high from the experience. I've seen a lot of arty and pervy books over the years, but I've never seen anything like this book.

The one thing that I discovered during Karen's visit was the edition size for the printing of this book is going to be pretty small - possibly only 250 copies or so. I was hoping to be able to sell some directly, but with such a small run that may not be possible.

If you were interested in possibly buying a copy (they'll be around $45), could you leave a comment or email me at christopherfetish(at)gmail.com? This isn't an invitation to place an order, but it may give me an idea of how many people may want a copy directly from me. Thanks!

"LOST" photo shoot - part 3

One of my all-time favorite pictures... She is so pretty!

The light made the latex super-shiny, and even the candid photos in between sets looked beautiful.

Makes me want to start taking pictures again...
That's about it for now... See you next time!

"LOST" photo shoot - part 2

A second set of images from a long ago (almost forgotten) photo shoot. This first one was inspired by an image I had seen by surrealist photographer Jacques Andre Boiffard. The combination of the hood with only a mouth opening paired with the wrist cuffs over long gloves, connected to an overhead chain. Still makes me woozy just thinking about it... There's something so sexy about this scenario to me. Probably that combination of enclosure and exposure.

The armbinder fit M beautifully as well. It wasn't made for her, but it sure fit her like it was...
My model had worked as a pro sub, and had experienced armbinders that were relatively easy for her to slip out of. I have to admit I was a little happy when she couldn't slip mine off without help. =0)
A couple of behind-the-scenes pix:
Photo shoots can be a lot of fun...

The "LOST" photo shoot

I was looking through the archives for project images to post on my FetLife profile, and came across some old JPGs from a photo shoot I did years ago. These are just a few of the many photos that were taken, that since have languished in digital limbo, never seeing any activity at all save their frozen bits taking up room on a DVD. Figured I'd share them with you rather than let them languish any longer... This is the first time they've been shown anywhere.

These photos were taken at a time when I was just getting serious about making bondage gear, and the model was one of the first people to encourage me to pursue it further. I still appreciate the nudge she gave me, saying it was good enough to sell.

The opera-length gloves she's wearing were purchased from Ines gloves, but I did make the hood and cuffs myself. It was one of my first solo shoots with a hired model. I lived and shot the pix in a second-floor apartment at the time, and it had awesome afternoon light streaming in through all the windows.

I remember building the stage and backdrop as well - just for this shoot. I don't think it was ever used again... Oh well, you learn a lot from just trying things sometimes, even if you don't know how it will all turn out.

Enjoy!
