The End is Near?

Well, it's been fun while it lasted folks, but according to an email I received today from Google, they're getting ready to crack down on blogs with sexual content... so this may be one of the last posts you will see from me. I haven't had a chance to decide what comes next, but at this point this particular blog's days are numbered. Just though I'd give you a head-up in case you never got around to downloading that hood pattern PDF or those f-suit images...

    1. I'm going to have to look into that Sheri... It's a lot of work to move all 350 posts over! But I don't want it to all just go away. Thanks for the message!

  2. I think that Google thinks contents that have to do with sexually explicit content.
On your blog talking about eroticism and all images and texts contain no clear sexual acts.
I think that your blog thus further remains. :)

    (Please excuse my bad english)

    1. It's hard to tell what they're going to do, but the email is clear about them considering my blog one that could be affected. I don't want to start self-censoring, to guess what they may consider offensive.

  3. of all the blogs, this is the one i'm most scared of losing.

i'm assuming i'm gone. i post all sorts of shit that is probably now not allowed. but i'm just some crazy ranter, off in my own corner.

but you have this beautiful work, where yes, when it's applied, that's probably a porn. but it's still art, even if stupid robot google jerks claim it's not.

    :(

if this is shut down and goes away, please let me know where to find you, Mr. Christopher, and i will shout it to the highest mountains that people should be watching your art.

sorry for being drunk in your comments.

    love,
    sammy

    1. I immediately thought of your blog too sammy. I love your blog and am disappointed beyond words that your little twisted corner of the web is getting harassment by the thought police... Does everything have to be sanitized and completely poop-free? It's so boring... Don't worry sammy, I'll be in touch.
P.S.- You're always welcome to drunk/comment on my blog!

  5. Thank you for your years of very interesting and inspiring posts. Please don't let Google's censorship be the end of all the things you're sharing with us all.

(I had typed a longer message, but Google ate it when I attempted to log on).

  7. I am sorry that you might be affected by Google's censorship. I do have to say that your blog is artistic, educational, documentary, and scientific in context though, so they might not censor you, but as you said earlier, you shouldn't have to censor yourself either. I hope you are able to move to a different site without too much work because we would love to see what you have coming up, and to be able to look at the amazing works you have created in the past.
If there is anything that I can do to help, please let me know.
I hope all goes well, and that this isn't the end.

    1. Thanks for that VR. I don't know what the next step is going to be, but hope to find a way to do what I've been doing... There is a lot of work involved with making the blog (and now possibly migrating over to something new) and I want to keep it free and accessible to all.

  8. There are migration options- moving to a self hosted domain with and importing your existing content into a wordpress install is going to be the safest bet. I'm more than happy to help facilitate this happening in any way possible. Your work has been instrumental in the deepening of my desire for leather fetish exploration and leather fetish gear. I would be heartbroken to lose it. Please feel free to reach out, I have a list of quick tools and adult friendly hosting and such. I'm most easily found at loraxofsex.com

  9. Too bad because your site is great. I got a notice too even though I don't post any pics so I think anyone who has sexual/BDSM content is on the way out. Wonder about all those 50 Shades of Grey fansites though, wonder what Google is going to do about them.

    1. I'm thinking it's because they want to monetize the blogs if possible through advertising. It's easier to sell ads to companies if they don't think it will show up on a site with content some people may find objectionable... I just tried to migrate over to wordpress, and noticed they place ads on all of their "free" blog templates - something that was optional here on blogger. I have to agree, the timing is kind of weird with the success of 50 shades and all. Thanks for the compliment.

    1. Thank you heavyrubberslave, I appreciate it. I did try to migrate over to wordpress, but the navigation and formatting is different, and I'm not sure how people would find anything... it's at fetishleathercrafter.wordpress.com
Can you let me know what you think (I can be reached at christopherfetish{at)gmail.com)
