The ladies straitjacket

This piece was a custom design for a client at straitjacketed.com, which is an awesome site for people like me.

One thing I didn't take into account when making this jacket was the amount of leather it would take to make all those straps. Can you believe there are over 200 linear inches of straps on this jacket? That's over 16 feet of straps! Whew...

One detail I like on this jacket are the zips at the wrists. The fit is very close, and in order to make the hand fit through we put in the zippers. That was the client's idea - I can't take credit for it. I also really like the way the black and red contrasting colors came out. It just turned out great!

  1. How does the zipper work; does the sleeve open up or is there a panel inside so the hand is never exposed. Love the jacket would you make one for a guy?

  2. Dear lordofmoria,
The zipper opens up to allow the hand to pass through the wrist - It is extremely narrow compared to a normal straitjacket - and that gives it a really fitted look. I could definitely make a male version of this jacket, but with all the straps it's pretty expensive; in the $600 dollar range. Contact me at christopherfetish(at)gmail.com if you are interested in having one made.

    1. The same comment was made recently when I posted that jacket in use on Fetlife! Kevin at Straitjacketed.com admitted there may have been a subconscious influence at work...

  4. Do you have a pattern for this beautiful straitjacket? I'd like to try to sew this by my self.
